COG is looking for new Board Directors! COG’s Board membership is voluntary and the Board includes several committees including Executive; Finance; Fundraising; Policy and Human Resources. Currently the term for Directors is three years with a maximum of two consecutive terms.
The full Board meets quarterly (incl. the AGM), the Executive monthly, and the remainder committees as their respective work plans require. While time commitments vary depending on the roles assumed, the average time per month can range from 3 to 15 hours.
We are especially interested in candidates who are farmers and or who can provide subject expertise in the following areas:
- Legal
- Fundraising and financial management
- Policy, advocacy and research
- Farm extension and agronomy
