You’re invited to a Farm Tour at The Dogs Run Farm near Clearwater, Manitoba!
The Dogs Run Farm is run by Katie and Colin, first-generation farmers who use ecological and regenerative farming practices and principles of organic farm management to raise pastured pigs, laying hens, turkeys, sheep, and cattle. They also make handmade soap, and market all of their meat and products direct to consumers.
Come spend the afternoon exploring the world of mixed livestock farming and direct marketing! You’ll have a chance to meet the animals and ask lots of questions about first-generation farming. Longtime Dogs Run Farm seasonal worker, Katheryn (now in her fourth year on the farm) started as an apprentice in the Young Agrarians Apprenticeship Program and will be joining the tour to talk about her experience in the program and on the farm.
