Volunteer Roles

Crew Captain

• Assist with the volunteer orientation (meeting will be arranged with crew captains prior to allow for a complete transfer of information regarding onsite volunteer activities)
• Contact volunteers on your team regarding their schedule/check in information
• Manage activities of your assigned team onsite
• Be point of contact for Event Manager and Volunteer Coordinator

Set up Crew

• Set up of tables/chairs in tents the day before the event
• Set up of farmer/chef team stations morning of event
• Decorate tents using materials providing by participating teams
• Post event signage
• Other set up activities as required

Greeters/Gate Crew

• Hand out programs to attendees waiting in line
• Provide information on parking
• Direct line ups
• Take tickets / exchange for survey/ballot(s)
• Other gate related activities as required

Drink/Desert Assistants

• Assist Drink/Desert providers with their set up
• Provide serving assistance in the Drink/Desert tents
• Keep Drink/Desert tents clean and tidy

Farmer/Chef Assistants

• Assist Farmers and Chefs with set up if requested
• Ensure team stations are provided with all necessary items (water, waste disposal, etc)
• Check with Farmer/Chef teams during event to see if they need anything

Clean up Crew

• Dismantle team stations
• Clean grounds
• Waste
• Recylcables
• Compostables
• Other clean up related duties as required

Dish Crew

• Prepare cutlery packages (cutlery, napkin, ballot/survey)
• Unload and set up dishes
• Pick up any dirty dishes during event
• Wash dishes
• Help pack up dishes at the end of the event

Other dish related duties as required.
